India’s economy is forecast to grow between 6.3% and 6.8% in fiscal year 2025-2026, according to the Economic Survey presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday. The survey indicates that sustained 8% growth for up to two decades is necessary to achieve developed nation status by 2047.

The annual Economic Survey, released ahead of the Union Budget, reviews the current economic state and offers a short-to-medium-term outlook. The first part of Parliament’s Budget Session, which began Friday and runs until February 13th, will reconvene March 10th and conclude April 4th, encompassing a total of 27 sittings.

Addressing a joint parliamentary session, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the government’s dedication to inclusive development, emphasizing that a nation’s success hinges on upholding fundamental principles.
